I Choose Shelter.

I knew I wanted to work here when I was still in school. I’d spent years watching these creative women encourage and push each other to be their best selves; it’s been exhilarating and motivating. I truly believe in the mission CJ has set out on for this salon and love watching our team execute it daily.

It’s hard to pick one thing I love most about working here! I really love my co-workers, though. I feel like we’ve created a really unique environment where it feels more like family. Other salons seem to have a bad rap of being catty, and I honestly feel we exclude that kind of behavior. It’s amazing having a home outside of home.

Family and Free Time!

When I’m not working, I’m teaching myself how to silversmith to pursue my affinity with jewelry. I also spend a considerable amount of time admiring my beautiful husky-pup daughter named Freya. And if I get up there on karaoke night, I’m definitely singing “Rich Girl” by Hall & Oates.

Inspiration

I draw my inspiration from mother nature… and all of the confident women I know (and some I don’t!) in my life. Nothing’s more inspirational than watching someone be unapologetically themselves in a world that doesn’t agree. This is especially true in a woman.
